Message from the Founder-Rector on Foundation Day
A birthday should be a happy occasion, but Garden High is feeling far from happy on her twentieth birthday, for she is dearly missing what gives her existence meaning – the pupils and the teachers, and all the other members of the family who take care and look after them. Without them to breathe life into her, Garden High is feeling like an empty shell.
Nevertheless, Garden High has asked me to convey her gratitude to all of you for remembering her birthday and your wonderful effort to lighten her feeling of loneliness by organizing a celebratory programme. Thank you, and thanks to all those who have sent their good wishes and warmly affectionate birthday greetings.
If Garden High could speak, I am sure her gratitude would have been more eloquently expressed.
